2. Sources of Chlorinated Phenols

Tetrachlorophenol has bactericidal and preservative properties, effectively preventing fungal growth, inhibiting bacterial corrosion, and protecting against pests. It is used as a preservative in the storage and transportation of wool, leather, wood, dyes, printing pastes, and inks. It can also serve as a preservative and mildew stabilizer in textile printing pastes.
