The L-track gauge, also known as the right-angle track gauge, is commonly referred to by various names such as L-type track caliper, right-angle track gauge, and benchmark ruler. The L-shaped track gauge (full-track type) is a specialized measuring tool used to measure the distance between the outer (or inner) side of the railway track and the center of the benchmark positioning hole, as well as the height between the top surface of the rail and the benchmark.
