As a fiberoptic device, it utilizes microscopic imaging technology to magnify lesions up to thousands of times during detailed laryngeal examinations. This allows doctors to perform outpatient surgical treatments for conditions such as vocal cord polyps, nodules, and other vocal cord lesions using its built-in surgical forceps on the magnified tissues, such as vocal cord cysts.
