Narrow aisle racking is suitable for storing large quantities of goods. Compared with conventional pallet racking, the aisle width of narrow aisle racking is smaller, generally 1.65-1.95 meters, allowing for increased storage capacity within the same space. The racking height can reach up to 18 meters, ensuring higher space utilization. In terms of operation, narrow aisle racking must be used in conjunction with three-way stacking forklifts.
Racking Features:
1. Narrow aisle racking is a type of selective racking. It is named narrow aisle or narrow channel racking because the forklift handling aisles in the racking system are relatively narrow. The main structure of the racking system is an extension of selective racking systems, with the difference being the installation of guide rails for "three-way stacking forklifts" on the floor at the base of the racking;
2. Material handling is limited to "three-way stacking forklifts." Three-way stacking forklifts slide along fixed guide rails, and the aisle width of the racking system is slightly larger than the width of the pallet goods, with a conventional aisle width of 1600mm-2000mm;
3. Due to the narrow aisles, this type of racking offers high storage density while inheriting the advantages of selective racking systems. All goods stored in the racking system are fully accessible, enabling FIFO (first-in, first-out) inventory management;
4. This type of racking has higher requirements for floor flatness and the performance of handling and stacking forklifts.
