1. The working surface shall be free from rust, scratches, bumps, and other appearance defects that affect usage.
2. The working surface shall not have casting defects such as sand holes, air holes, cracks, slag inclusions, or shrinkage porosity. All casting surfaces shall be cleared of molding sand, be flat, and have firmly applied paint. All edges shall be deburred. On plates with an accuracy grade lower than "00", sand holes with a diameter less than 15mm may be plugged with the same material, and the hardness of the plug shall be lower than that of the surrounding material. There shall be no more than four plugged locations on the working surface, and the distance between them shall not be less than 80mm.
3. On opposite sides, threaded holes or cylindrical holes for installing handles, lifting rings, and other lifting facilities shall be provided. The design of lifting positions should minimize changes caused by lifting.
4. According to user requirements, after setting threaded holes or grooves on the plate working surface, these areas should not protrude above the working surface.
5. It shall be made of high-quality fine-grained gray cast iron or alloy cast iron.
6. The hardness of the working surface shall be HB 170-220.
7. The working surface shall be processed by scraping. For "Grade 3" plates, planing may also be used. The surface roughness of the planed working surface, measured by the arithmetic mean deviation Ra, shall not exceed 5μm.
8. It shall undergo stabilization treatment and demagnetization.
