Working Principle
The buckets scoop materials from the storage below and, as the conveyor belt or chain lifts them to the top, they flip over after passing around the top wheel, and the bucket elevator discharges the materials into the receiving chute. The drive belt of belt-driven bucket elevators typically uses rubber belts, installed on the drive drum at the bottom or top and the redirecting drums at the upper and lower ends. Chain-driven bucket elevators are generally equipped with two parallel drive chains, with a pair of drive sprockets at the top or bottom and a pair of redirecting sprockets at the bottom or top. Bucket elevators are usually equipped with casings to prevent dust from spreading within the elevator.
