Nitrogen is typically a colorless and odorless gas under normal conditions, accounting for about 78% of the atmosphere, making it one of the main components of air. Nitrogen is chemically inert and rarely reacts with other substances at room temperature, so it is often used as a shielding gas and is widely applied in industry. The transportation and storage of liquid and cylinder nitrogen are costly, unreliable, and also pose safety issues. The LCNA modular nitrogen generator can produce nitrogen on-site using existing compressed air systems, which is both simple and economical.

The LCN modular nitrogen generator adopts a modular design, known as a modular nitrogen generator, and can be easily expanded in size according to the customer's dew point requirements. If the customer requires a larger volume of nitrogen, additional nitrogen generators can be added incrementally as production capacity increases, offering better scalability compared to dual-tower nitrogen generators. The compact design of the modular nitrogen generator means it occupies less space than other equipment, can be moved and installed easily, and fits through standard doorways.

The working principle of the modular PSA nitrogen generator is based on the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) principle to produce a continuous flow of nitrogen from compressed air. Paired extruded aluminum columns are filled with PSA carbon molecular sieve (CMS). Pre-treated compressed air enters the bottom of the online tower and passes through the CMS. The CMS preferentially adsorbs oxygen and other trace gases, allowing nitrogen to pass through. After a preset time, the online column automatically switches to regeneration mode, expelling contaminants from the CMS. Carbon molecular sieve differs from ordinary activated carbon in that it has a much narrower pore size range. This allows small molecules (such as oxygen) to penetrate the pores and separate from nitrogen molecules, which are too large to enter the CMS.
