Principle of Carbon-Added Purification Industrial Nitrogen Generator and Carbon-Supported Nitrogen Purification Unit

The working principle involves heating the 99.9% pure nitrogen produced by the nitrogen generator before it enters a deoxidizer filled with palladium carbon fiber. Under the action of a catalyst, the oxygen in the nitrogen reacts with the carbon carrying the catalyst, resulting in the following chemical reaction: C + O? = CO?.

Under the action of the catalyst, this chemical reaction reduces the residual oxygen content in the nitrogen to less than 0.1 ppm after deoxygenation. The deoxygenated nitrogen is then cooled and enters an adsorber filled with molecular sieves, where moisture and CO? in the nitrogen are deeply adsorbed. After filtration, high-purity nitrogen is obtained. The advantage of this process is that the product nitrogen contains no hydrogen, making it particularly suitable for applications with strict hydrogen content requirements. However, the deoxidizing agent (palladium carbon fiber) in the deoxidizer is consumable. Hangzhou Lecheng Gas Equipment Co., Ltd. has designed this unit with a deoxidizing agent replacement cycle of three months. After three months of use, continuous production can be ensured by switching the deoxidizer, while the other reaction deoxidizer requires replacement of the deoxidizing agent. To simplify the replacement process, our company has designed feed and discharge ports for convenience.

Under the action of the catalyst, the nitrogen reacts with the hydrogen source introduced into the system to remove residual oxygen, followed by further dehydrogenation. It then enters the drying system for deep dehydration, resulting in high-purity nitrogen.
