Description

Pneumatic diaphragm valves do not require a separate valve stem packing seal structure. The diaphragm not only cuts off the medium but also acts as a seal for the valve stem. Secondly, the highly flexible diaphragm ensures reliable closure, even effectively cutting off dirty liquids.

Working Principle

When the pneumatic actuator receives a control signal, compressed air enters the cylinder, driving the piston to move.

The piston drives the diaphragm toward the valve seat via the push rod, closing the valve. At this point, the diaphragm tightly contacts the valve seat, preventing medium flow.

When the pneumatic actuator releases the compressed air, a spring or other reset mechanism returns the piston to its initial position, the diaphragm moves away from the valve seat, and the valve opens. The medium can then flow through the internal passage of the valve body.

Structural Composition

Valve Body:

Typically made of materials such as cast iron, cast steel, or stainless steel, offering certain strength and corrosion resistance.

The interior of the valve body is designed with fluid passages for medium flow.

Diaphragm:

A key component of the pneumatic lined diaphragm valve, usually made of corrosion-resistant materials like rubber or fluoroplastic.

The diaphragm divides the valve interior into two chambers: the upper chamber and the lower chamber. By controlling the position of the diaphragm, the valve can be opened or closed.

Valve Cover:

Connected to the valve body, it is used to secure the diaphragm and seal the valve.

The valve cover usually has an interface for connecting the pneumatic actuator.

Pneumatic Actuator:

A device that drives the valve to open and close, typically composed of a cylinder, piston, push rod, and other components.

Through the action of compressed air, the piston is driven to move, which in turn drives the push rod to move the diaphragm, achieving valve control.
