The promotion and use of semi-coke boilers have brought hope to manufacturers currently using coal-fired boilers. Our company, Shaanxi Weinan Fandel Boiler Factory, recognizing the significant demand in the environmental protection sector, leveraged the strong capabilities of our parent group and the unique technological R&D advantages of Fandel to tackle technical challenges. Addressing issues such as low volatile content in semi-coke, delayed ignition, and the presence of unburned carbon particles in the exhaust, we conducted in-depth research and continuous innovation based on existing chain grate boilers. We developed a complete set of semi-coke combustion technology, thoroughly resolving these issues, and successfully created a new environmentally friendly semi-coke boiler, along with dust removal equipment specifically designed for the characteristics of semi-coke boilers. Our company has successfully undertaken several projects for converting coal-fired boilers to semi-coke boilers, including the relocation and micro-emission transformation of a 10-ton boiler for Shaanxi Damei Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., the transformation of a 2-ton boiler for the Weinan Environmental Monitoring Station (in 2015, the Weinan Environmental Protection Bureau organized a visit for local users to observe the successfully transformed semi-coke boiler by Fandel at the station), and the 6-ton boiler transformation project for the Small and Medium Enterprises Entrepreneurship Base, among others. Semi-coke is characterized by its block-like structure, with a particle size generally above 3mm, and a light black color. Currently, there are two main types of semi-coke: traditionally produced semi-coke and mechanically produced semi-coke. Semi-coke fuel is an energy source that contains almost no sulfur, very little nitrogen, and has the advantage of low CO2 emissions. Among various utilization and conversion pathways for semi-coke, one of the simplest and most feasible methods for large-scale, efficient, and clean utilization is its direct use as a fuel. This approach requires minimal modifications to existing combustion equipment while delivering excellent combustion performance. Its promotion and application play a crucial role in advancing the development of environmentally friendly fuel energy technologies in China, protecting the environment, and improving ecological conditions. It not only reduces fuel costs but also decreases SO2 emissions, while addressing the challenges of waste disposal. It offers significant energy-saving and environmental benefits. To meet market demand, our company, Shaanxi Weinan Fandel Boiler Factory, has designed and developed chain grate steam boilers that utilize semi-coke fuel, as well as solutions for converting coal-fired boilers to semi-coke boilers.
