Applications: This product is a reactive (copolymerizable) phosphorus-based environmentally friendly flame retardant, suitable for permanent flame retardant modification of polyesters and applicable in all fields where conventional PET is used. Flame-retardant polyester products with this additive exhibit spinnability comparable to conventional PET, with identical spinning and stretching properties. The flame-retardant polyester offers excellent thermal stability, does not decompose during spinning, produces no odor at the spinning site, and enhances the antistatic properties of polyester products. It has good spinnability, and its fibers exhibit excellent weavability. It can be processed through any spinning system, and the fabric achieves permanent flame retardancy. When copolymerized with PTA and EG, the addition amount is 2.5~4.5%, resulting in a phosphorus content of 0.35-0.60% in the flame-retardant polyester chips. The limiting oxygen index (LOI) of the spun fabric ranges from 30~36%. It is widely used in flame retardancy for textiles, yarns, chemical fibers, various garments, decorative fabrics, and other flame-retardant applications.
Permanent flame-retardant polyester curtain fabrics, upholstery fabrics, and automotive cushion fabrics produced from flame-retardant polyester chips have been tested by the National Center for Quality Supervision and Test of Fire Fighting Equipment and Fire Building Construction Parts and the National Fireproof Building Materials Quality Supervision and Inspection Center. The oxygen index is 32-33%, meeting the GB8624 B1 grade requirements and has been widely applied.
