Application Scope of Jet Aerator

The QSB deep-water self-priming submersible jet aerator can operate normally and continuously under the following conditions:

1. Medium temperature not exceeding 40°C;

2. Medium pH value between 5~9;

3. Medium density not exceeding 1150kg/m3

Du'an Environmental Protection QSB Jet Aerator Technical Description:

The QSB submersible jet aerator consists of five parts: submersible pump, jet device, diffuser, air intake pipe, and hose. It integrates advanced diffusion technology based on traditional jet principles and adopts jet aeration methods.

During operation, the pump impeller, driven by the submersible motor at high speed, pushes the mud-water mixture into the jet device to form a jet stream, creating a negative pressure zone around it. Air is drawn through the intake pipe into the nozzle's negative pressure zone, where thorough mixing of air, water, and sludge occurs in the jet device's throat. The kinetic energy of the jet is gradually converted into pressure energy through the diffuser tube. Within the diffuser, further mixing of air, water, and sludge forces continuous shearing, crushing, and emulsification of gases, ensuring most oxygen fully dissolves in water. Simultaneously, under jet fluid pressure, oxygen molecules and micro-bubbles are carried and ejected diagonally downward from the diffuser nozzles, impacting and stirring the water body and sludge at the bottom of the biochemical tank. They then slowly rise from the bottom to the surface, with micro-bubbles remaining in water for over 30 seconds, allowing full dissolution and absorption of oxygen, thus improving oxygen transfer efficiency and aeration capacity. This equipment generates high negative pressure and intense turbulence, stirring, and shearing within the jet device, promoting high-frequency oscillation of liquid and gas films, significantly reducing bubble diameter, increasing bubble count, expanding specific surface area, and thinning gas-liquid films, greatly reducing mass transfer resistance for better oxygen transfer from gas to liquid phase. The jet, with high angular velocity from high-speed rotation in the disperser, possesses strong penetration, enabling micro-bubbles to travel far in water, enhancing mixing, flow propulsion, and oxygenation. Applicable for deep-water aeration, aeration and mixing in biochemical tanks, sludge aeration and mixing, and high-concentration organic wastewater treatment processes.

Before starting the submersible aerator, a qualified electrician should inspect the system to ensure all required electrical protection measures are in place.

1. Before operation, use a 0-500V megohmmeter to check the insulation resistance of the motor stator windings; it must not be less than 1 megohm.

2. The power voltage must be within ±5% of the rated voltage marked on the nameplate. Voltage rise should not exceed 10% of the rated value. If the power source is far from the aerator, increase the cable cross-section, minimize joints, and ensure they are sealed and waterproof to prevent excessive voltage drop.

3. Among the four-core cable, the wire with the grounding symbol (usually yellow-green) is the ground wire. For safety, it must be securely connected and 50mm longer than other wires.

4. Check the impeller rotation direction.

For three-phase power submersible aerators, check the rotation direction upon initial startup or after reinstallation. Incorrect rotation reduces efficiency and damages the pump.

Inspection method: Before installation, view the aerator's suction port from below; the impeller should rotate counterclockwise. If multiple aerators are connected to one controller, check each individually. If rotation is incorrect, swap any two of the three-phase wires at the controller to change direction.
