Boundary Conditions

Corning G1 Silicon Carbide Ceramic Reactor offers extensive chemical corrosion resistance—including the ability to handle hydrofluoric acid and strong alkaline systems at high temperatures. The G1 Silicon Carbide Ceramic Reactor further enhances the mass transfer and heat exchange performance of Corning reactors. It can be flexibly combined with Corning G1 glass reaction modules according to customer requirements, further expanding the functionality of Corning G1 reactors.

Reactor Components

The Corning G1 Silicon Carbide Reactor is composed of a silicon carbide reactor module, an aluminum alloy heat exchange module, PFA pipelines, and perfluoroelastomer gaskets.

● Flow rate range: 15 to 250 ml/min

● Internal liquid holdup volume per module is approximately 10 ml

● No metal contact in the reaction path

● High flexibility
● Seamless scale-up from Corning G1 reactor process to G4 reactor production without scale-up effects

● Provides ultra-high heat transfer performance

Advantages

● G1 glass reactor modules and G1 silicon carbide reactor modules can be flexibly assembled and combined. The combined reactor retains the "visibility" and "capability for photochemical reactions" of the glass reactor module, while the silicon carbide reactor module can be used for reaction quenching and highly corrosive steps (such as strong alkali neutralization).
