Product Description:

  Asphalt Mortar is a mortar with specific properties prepared through a particular mixing process and is widely used in many large-scale railway projects.

Asphalt Mortar utilizes two materials with significantly different properties as binders, offering higher stiffness and strength compared to conventional asphalt concrete. Its characteristic lies in combining rigidity and flexibility, with flexibility being predominant while also incorporating rigidity. Asphalt mortar functions to support track slabs, buffer high-speed train loads, and provide vibration damping. It has gradually become a superior choice for bed materials in slab-type ballastless tracks.

Main Properties:

    Asphalt Mortar has three major properties: workability, mechanical performance, and durability.

Construction Instructions:

1. Clean the base surface: To reduce the corrosive effect of environmental water on the base surface and enhance durability, remove all areas affected by freeze-thaw peeling, aging damage, exposed reinforcement, carbonation, honeycombing, and corrosion to ensure the base surface meets standards.

2. Asphalt Mortar material preparation: Pour the adhesive liquid into a bucket. Following the ratio of adhesive liquid to powder = 1:4, slowly add the powder while stirring with an electric mixer until the mixture is uniform and free of lumps. The prepared material should be used before it solidifies.

4. Construction: When using asphalt mortar as a full-surface layer, the thickness should theoretically not be less than 10mm. For large construction areas, it is recommended to leave construction joints or stagger the work in sections.

5. After application, pay attention to troweling and covering for curing. The curing period is approximately 7-14 days.

Precautions:

  The ambient temperature for asphalt mortar construction should ideally be between 5-30°C. Raw materials must not be exposed to moisture, rain, sunlight, or contamination by debris.

  Construction should not be carried out during rainy or freezing conditions. If winter construction is necessary, appropriate anti-freezing measures must be taken.

  This product should be mixed and used immediately. Avoid mixing excessive amounts at once, and ensure each batch is used before solidification.

Packaging, Storage, and Transportation:

Packaging: 20kg in barrels + 2*40kg in bags (composite kraft paper bags); total 100kg per set.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, and ventilated indoor area. Liquid materials must not be stored in environments below zero degrees Celsius.
