Working Principle of Inverted Bucket Steam Trap:

The inverted bucket steam trap operates based on the density difference between condensate and steam. Its internal structure consists of a lever system connected to an inverted bucket, which overcomes steam pressure to open and close the valve. The inverted bucket serves as the liquid level sensing component, with its opening facing downward. When the system starts, air and low-temperature condensate in the pipeline are fully discharged through the fully open trap, allowing the system to heat up quickly. When steam enters the inverted bucket, it generates buoyancy, lifting the bucket and actuating the lever to close the valve. As condensate refills the bucket, the lever reopens the valve. This cycle repeats, enabling intermittent drainage.

Structural Features of the Inverted Bucket Steam Trap:

1. All moving parts in the inner chamber are made of stainless steel, ensuring wear and corrosion resistance. Since steam cannot reach the water-sealed valve seat orifice, there is no steam loss, resulting in energy savings. The inverted bucket design prevents collapse and water hammer damage, ensuring long service life.

2. The top of the inverted bucket is equipped with a vent hole, providing excellent continuous air venting performance without cold lag or air locking.

3. The inverted bucket steam trap is unaffected by back pressure and operates efficiently even under high back pressure conditions.

4. The trap operates reliably with only two moving parts (the lever and the inverted bucket), eliminating the risk of jamming.

The valve seat and disc are located at the top of the valve,allowing debris to pass during opening and closing, providing excellent self-cleaning performance,free from debris interference.
