Heat shrink sleeves are primarily designed for the anti-corrosion of buried and above-ground steel pipeline welds, as well as for insulation and anti-corrosion repair of insulated pipelines. They are also used for sealing and anti-corrosion at pipeline flange connections, insulated flanges, and clamp (lock) collar sections. The heat shrink sleeve anti-corrosion system consists of a two-layer structure: a two-component liquid epoxy primer + an inner adhesive-coated heat shrink sleeve. Due to its integrated structure, the heat shrink sleeve exhibits shrinkage force, *creep resistance, aging resistance, impact resistance, and heat resistance*. Before welding the steel pipe, the sleeve is first slipped on. After welding and completing the anti-corrosion treatment, the sleeve is pulled to the weld position and heated for shrinkage. The heat shrink sleeve offers **obvious advantages and **quality benefits**. It is suitable for use at temperatures up to 70°C (high-temperature type) and can also ensure that the repair layer remains undamaged under normal installation conditions. Supporting materials for heat shrink sleeves include two-component solvent-free epoxy anti-corrosion primer.

Compared to heat shrink tapes, the **advantage of heat shrink sleeves is that they are a closed circular sleeve with no seams or overlaps, making installation simple. The disadvantage is that they must be slipped on before welding the steel pipe, and after grinding and applying the epoxy primer for anti-corrosion treatment, they are pulled over and heated. During heating and installation, the base material shrinks radially while the inner adhesive layer melts, tightly wrapping around the repair area. Together with the base material, it forms a robust anti-corrosion layer outside the pipeline, offering **excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, **impact resistance, and good **UV resistance**.
