In 1934, Le Corbusier, along with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, designed an exceptionally spacious sofa for his apartment at 24 Rue Nungesser et Coli in Paris. This was a ground-floor apartment he moved into with his wife Yvonne, divided into a studio and a private residence.
Although the LC5 SOFA does not receive as much exposure as other LC series works like the LC2 or LC3, it remains one of Le Corbusier's classic design pieces.
