DTPMPA Diethylenetriamine Penta(methylene phosphonic acid) offers excellent scale inhibition and corrosion inhibition properties with good temperature resistance. It effectively inhibits the formation of carbonate, sulfate, and phosphate scales. DTPMPA maintains strong scale and corrosion inhibition performance even in alkaline environments and at high temperatures, making it particularly suitable for use as a pH-unadjusted scale and corrosion inhibitor in closed-loop ash transport water systems in power plants and alkaline circulating cooling water systems.

Product Performance

(1) Excellent scale and corrosion inhibition performance with good temperature resistance (above 210°C)

(2) DTPMPA BP-8W26, when combined with manganese ions, provides excellent corrosion inhibition for carbon steel and copper alloys

(3) When used alone in compound formulations, no additional dispersant is required, and fouling deposition remains minimal

(4) DTPMPA BP-8W26 is non-toxic, water-miscible, and easily soluble in acidic solutions

Usage Method: As a scale inhibitor, DTPMPA is typically used at a concentration of 1-30 mg/L; as a cleaning agent, it is generally used at 1-2 g/L. It is often used in combination with polycarboxylic scale inhibitors and dispersants. For use in other industries, the dosage should be determined through testing.

Application Fields

● Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor: Used as a scale and corrosion inhibitor in circulating cooling water and boiler water, and particularly effective in oilfield injection water and cooling/boiler water with high barium carbonate content;

● Stabilizer for peroxides and chlorine dioxide biocides, especially effective as a stabilizer for hydrogen peroxide under high-temperature conditions;

● Chelating agent in textile printing and dyeing, pigment dispersant, oxygen delignification stabilizer, trace element carrier in fertilizers, and concrete additive;

● Also widely used in papermaking, electroplating, metal pickling, cosmetics, and other fields.
