ST-1531A Petroleum Products Saybolt Colorimeter

Product Introduction:

     The ST-1531A Petroleum Products Saybolt Colorimeter is used to determine the color of refined liquid petroleum products, such as undyed motor gasoline, aviation gasoline, jet fuel, naphtha, kerosene, and medicinal white oil. Saybolt Color refers to the height of the liquid column measured when observing and comparing through the sample liquid column and standard color plates, obtaining the value closest to one of the three standard color plates. The Saybolt color number is defined as: -16 (darkest) to +30 (lightest). The Saybolt Color test is used for quality control and product identification of refined products with an ASTM color of 0.5 or lower.

The determination of petroleum product color is mainly used in the control process of oil production. Because color is an important quality characteristic of petroleum products and a feature easily observed by product users. In some cases, color can reflect the degree of refinement of the product. For petroleum products with a known color range, if the color exceeds this range, it may be contaminated.

It can be widely used in power, petroleum, chemical, universities, commercial inspection, and scientific research departments.
