The activity of lime refers to its ability to react with other substances in molten slag. It is represented by the melting speed of lime in the slag. Typically, the reaction rate between lime and water is used for measurement. Specifically, under standard atmospheric pressure, the number of milliliters of 4 mol/L HCl aqueous solution consumed when 50 grams of lime dissolve in water maintained at a constant temperature of 40°C within 10 minutes is defined as the activity of lime. Currently, the average lime activity can generally exceed 300 ml/4 mol/L HCl, significantly shortening the initial slagging time in steelmaking converters, reducing lime consumption per ton of steel, and being highly beneficial for early-stage dephosphorization.

Currently, lime activity in China is mostly measured manually, which lacks standardization and involves many human factors, leading to inaccurate results and low efficiency. Additionally, contact with acid mist poses certain risks. This equipment effectively addresses the aforementioned issues.

Steelmaking practice shows that this type of lime can improve dephosphorization and desulfurization efficiency by 80%, while shortening the smelting time. It can react with acidic substances in molten steel within 3-5 minutes, whereas ordinary lime requires at least 6-10 minutes. Furthermore, it increases furnace lining life by over 40% and reduces consumable material usage by 5-8 kg/t of steel. Based on an annual production of 10 million tons, this results in savings of approximately 15 million yuan per year, demonstrating significant production benefits.

The system enters the test state, automatically detects the pH value, and adjusts the titration of acid solution via a metering pump controlled by PLC based on the pH value. The entire test process is automatically controlled, and the activity value is automatically calculated. The system automatically stops after the test concludes.

2. When connected to an upper computer, it can plot a time-activity curve online and print test reports.

3. The system parameters can be modified using a computer.

4. Dynamically displays the operational status of all system components and the running status of the PLC and upper computer.

5. Allows viewing of historical reports and printing of test reports.
