I. Properties of Iron Powder Binder
Properties such as hydrophilicity, complexation, rapid coagulation, oxidation-reduction, etc., determine its suitability for forming various mineral powders in the metallurgical industry and molding iron-containing dust and sludge waste. It directly addresses a series of issues like grade decline and high energy consumption. Compared to traditional bentonite, it features strong adhesion, a one-time forming rate of up to 98%, pellet strength of up to 1000N/pellet, improved pellet ore grade, and reduced energy consumption.
II. Advantages of the Binder
1. Production of cold-bonded pellets, targeting iron ore powder, chromium ore powder, phosphate ore powder, manganese ore powder, copper, lead, zinc, and many other mineral powders.
2. No specialized training required for use; it is simple and easy to understand. Simply mix water, raw materials, and the binder in the proportion provided by the company, add water, and stir evenly.
3. The produced cold-pressed pellets are used as furnace charge for blast furnaces, direct reduction furnaces, iron-melting furnaces, gas generators, submerged arc furnaces, and other furnaces.
III. Production Process Technology
Using cold-bonded pellet technology, iron powder undergoes testing, selection, batching, mixing, and stirring, followed by cold pressing and drying.
Process flow: Raw material proportioning → weighing → mixing → adding binder → mixing → forming → drying → finished product.

V. Application of Iron Concentrate Cold-Pressed Pellet Binder
1. Cold-pressed pellets made from iron ore powder and flux can be directly fed into the furnace for smelting. For small blast furnaces (below 100 cubic meters), the addition of cold-pressed pellets can reach 50%-100%. For larger blast furnaces, they can be used as part of the charge. The coke powder in the cold pellets can replace some expensive coke, thereby reducing production costs. Additionally, replacing part of the existing furnace charge with cold pellets can increase blast furnace output and reduce coke ratio. The production process of cold-pressed pellets is pollution-free, thus addressing the pollution issues caused by sintering, making it an ideal project for technological transformation in small and medium-sized blast furnaces.
2. Cold-pressed pellets made from iron-containing materials, coke powder, and flux possess self-reducing properties. These pellets can be directly added to iron-melting furnaces for smelting. Replacing 20%-30% of pig iron with self-reducing pellets will not adversely affect the operation of the iron-melting furnace, significantly reducing production costs and improving casting quality, thereby enhancing product competitiveness.
