Greenhouses lack the sturdiness of walls, so they should be located in leeward areas or windbreaks. Additionally, the greenhouse should be built on relatively high ground with low groundwater levels, dry conditions, good transportation access, ample water sources, and no pollution. The overall construction area should be flat, without slopes.

2. Pigpen Design

First, the size of the greenhouse should be determined based on the scale of farming. Typically, it is about 12 meters wide and 80 meters long, with the pigpen oriented east-west to maximize sunlight. Roll-up curtains should be installed around the pigpen for effective ventilation. The floor can be made of concrete, and the pigpen should have separate pigsties, each partitioned with bricks or iron railings. Each pigsty should have a sloped manure and urine gutter. 3. Greenhouse Construction

For the materials of the pigpen greenhouse, steel pipes can be used, and the roof can be arched. Openings should be left on both sides of the greenhouse to facilitate ventilation. Inside the greenhouse, feeding troughs and water troughs should be installed. Additionally, a space of 1 to 1.5 meters should be reserved for storing feed materials. The feed shed and the pigpen should be separated by feeding troughs, with a movable door connecting them.

4. Roof Covering

After the main structure of the greenhouse is built, it should be covered with film. Double-layer ethylene drip-free film or single-layer film can be used, or colored film can be substituted depending on specific needs. Additionally, 2-3 ventilation holes should be created at the top of the greenhouse film, and operable openings should be installed to expel harmful gases generated inside the pigpen.
