DECON 90 Cleaning Solution is an advanced surfactant cleaner/radioactive decontaminant with the following features and applications:

Features

Specification: 5L/drum

Composition: A water-based emulsion synthesized from high-quality anionic and non-ionic surfactants, stabilizers, alkali, non-phosphate detergent builders, and separating agents. It is an alkaline concentrate with a pH value of 13+.

Physical Properties: Supplied as a non-viscous concentrated liquid, used after dilution with water. It is biodegradable, fully rinseable, and non-flammable.

Safety: Does not contain enzymes, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid/nitrilotriacetic acid (EDTA/NTA), or chlorine-based bleaches, making it relatively safe during use and disposal.

Scope of Application

Materials: Suitable for complete cleaning and/or decontamination of glassware, ceramics, plastics (non-polycarbonate), rubber, stainless steel, and ferrous metal products. Not suitable for non-ferrous metals, particularly aluminum and zinc products, or polycarbonate materials. Decon Neutral Detergent is recommended for these materials.

It serves as a cleaner for Olympus biochemical analyzers and can also be used in laboratories, industrial settings, precision instruments, medical laboratories, glassware, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and environmental protection.

Usage Instructions

Dilution: Generally, dilute DECON 90 cleaning solution with water to a concentration of 2% to 5%.

Soaking: Immerse items to be cleaned for 2 to 24 hours, depending on the stubbornness and extent of contamination.

Cleaning: For heavily soiled items, increase the solution concentration, heat the solution (40 to 50 degrees Celsius), or use an ultrasonic cleaning bath to significantly reduce cleaning time.

Rinsing: After removal from the solution, items should be thoroughly rinsed immediately. It is recommended to rinse three times with water to ensure complete removal of contaminants and residual traces of the cleaner.

Drying: After rinsing, carefully dry with a lint-free cloth or use hot air blow-drying.

Solution Consumption

No specific tests have been conducted to determine solution consumption, but the solution must be replaced when the pH drops to 8.5. For critical applications, it is advised to always use demineralized or deionized water.

Precautions

DECON90 cleaning solution is not suitable for household washing purposes.
