| 【Raw Material Introduction】 | Mulberry leaf extract is produced from the 1st to 3rd new leaves on mulberry branches during the late spring silkworm stage or before the first frost. The leaves are shade-dried, crushed, and extracted using n-butanol, 90% ethanol, and water under heating, followed by spray drying. The extract contains various physiologically active substances such as mulberry flavonoids, mulberry polyphenols, mulberry polysaccharides, DNJ, GABA, and more. |
| 【Main Components】 | Leaves contain rutin, quercetin, isoquercitrin, quercetin-3-triglucoside, trace amounts of β-sitosterol, campesterol, β-sitosterol-β-D-glucoside, lupanol, meso-inositol, insect metamorphosis hormones (ecdysterone and inokosterone), hemolysin, chlorogenic acid. Volatile oil components include acetic acid, propionic acid, butyric acid, isobutyric acid, valeric acid, isovaleric acid, caproic acid, isocaproic acid, guaiacol, phenol, o-cresol, m-cresol, eugenol, etc. Also contains oxalic acid, fumaric acid, tartaric acid, citric acid, succinic acid, palmitic acid, ethyl palmitate, hentriacontane, hydroxycoumarin, sucrose, fructose, glucose, amino acids such as aspartic acid and glutamic acid. Additionally, it contains vitamin C (200–300 mg%), glutathione (140–400 mg%), folic acid (105 μg%), 5-formyltetrahydrofolic acid (22 μg%), vitamin B1 (460 μg%), vitamin B2 (300–800 μg%), adenine, choline, trigonelline, as well as copper (10 ppm), zinc (16 ppm), boron (35 ppm), manganese (270 ppm). |
