Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6)
is a non-flammable liquefied gas filled in steel cylinders, with pressure being its vapor pressure of 298 psig @ 70°F.
When its concentration increases to the point where oxygen content falls below 19.5%, it causes asphyxiation. Contact with liquid can cause frostbite. Avoid breathing the gas.
Self-contained breathing apparatus is required during rescue operations.
