Arginine/Lysine Polypeptide is a 40% dry extract solution ( p/p ) composed of L-lysine and L-arginine oligopeptide with a degree of polymerization from 2 to 7, obtained by a solvent-free process enzymatic synthesis. It stimulates the production and deposits of extracellular matrix structural components including Collagen I, III, V, GAGs (glycosaminoglycans), and proteoglycan Decorin.

In addition, Arginine/Lysine Polypeptide inhibits anarchic reticulation of collagen. It also lessens the release of MMP-1 a metalloproteinase responsible for collagen destruction.
