Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is a lipophilic hydrophilic amphiphilic substance, which not only makes it extremely convenient to use in the formulation, but more importantly, this amphipathic property makes it easier to penetrate the stratum corneum into the dermis layer, thereby exerting its biological effects, while pure vitamin C is difficult to be absorbed into the skin.
