1. Widely used as a substitute for Freon as insulation material for refrigerators and freezers, and as a blowing agent for other rigid PU foams.
2. Used as a solvent for solution polymerization such as polyisoprene rubber and cellulose ethers, replacing Freon as insulation material for refrigerators and freezers and as a blowing agent for other rigid PU foams. Also used as a standard substance for chromatographic analysis.
