Product Classification and Technical Features
Based on structural differences, plate heat exchangers can be categorized into four main types: detachable (with sealing gaskets, easy to clean and maintain), welded (gasket-free, resistant to high pressure and temperature), spiral plate (spiral flow channels, strong anti-clogging performance), and honeycomb (no spacer columns, extremely compact). Among these, the detachable type is the most widely used, suitable for applications requiring frequent cleaning, such as food processing; the welded type is employed for corrosive media or high-pressure environments, such as in the petrochemical industry. As a subset of welded types, brazed plate heat exchangers utilize copper-nickel alloy brazing technology, offering a more compact size and are commonly used in refrigeration equipment. Technical advantages include high heat transfer coefficients (up to 7000 W/m2·K), a logarithmic mean temperature difference correction factor close to 1, and flexible process combinations, allowing adaptation to complex working conditions by adjusting plate arrangements.
