Copper tubes are often used as substitutes for steel pipes in water pipes. They come in two types: hardened temper and softened temper. Both types of tempered copper tubes are available in 20-foot straight lengths. Softened temper copper tubes are also available in coils of 30, 45, and 60 feet in length with a diameter of 1.25 inches. This type of tube is commonly used to replace lead pipes in connecting main water pipes to buildings.
