It is an effective method for cooling rabbit sheds and an efficient measure for convective heat dissipation in rabbits. When the weather is not too hot, planting vine plants in front of the rabbit shed and opening doors and windows can achieve cooling or alleviate the pressure of high temperatures on the rabbit shed.

Windows in rabbit sheds are important tools for cooling, but production observations reveal that many rabbit farms have windows positioned too high. This results in better ventilation at the top and poor airflow at the bottom, leading to uneven conditions. Therefore, large-scale rabbit farms can adopt longitudinal ventilation, and well-equipped farms can combine the use of wet curtains and cooling systems for better results.

For rabbit farming, semi-open rabbit sheds can be chosen, with face-to-face rabbit cages. Every 5-6 cages should be topped with an A-frame roof, 2.5-2.8m high, covered with wheat straw or small black tiles. Alternatively, enclosed rabbit sheds can be selected, requiring doors and windows for ventilation, suitable for breeding in cold regions and also for raising young rabbits. Both types of sheds can use cages measuring 60cm wide * 50cm deep * 40cm high, housing 1-2 rabbits per cage, with a water dispenser and feeding trough placed inside.
