Boiler feedwater has stringent requirements; it must first undergo softening or desalination treatment to prevent scaling on the internal heating surfaces of the boiler. However, water still contains oxygen and other gases. Oxygen is a primary depolarizing agent that can cause corrosion on the metal surfaces of boiler equipment and thermal systems. This corrosion often manifests as localized pitting corrosion, which can severely perforate metal walls, significantly shortening the lifespan of boiler equipment and compromising the safety of the boiler and thermal systems. To ensure the safe and economical operation of boilers, the national standard "Water Quality Standards for Low-Pressure Boilers" (GB1576-85) stipulates that all boilers with a rated evaporation capacity greater than 2 T/H must undergo deaeration.
