GSL High-Speed Filter

I. Overview
The GSL series high-speed filter ensures high-quality effluent even when the raw water contains high levels of suspended solids. It features high filtration speed, large treatment capacity, and a small footprint. Operation can be either manual or automated (single or multiple units under program control), as selected by the user. The GSL series high-speed filter is not only suitable for filtering raw water with high suspended solids but also improves water quality in recirculating water systems, increasing water recycling rates and conserving water. It is an essential device in modern industrial water treatment facilities.
The GSL series high-speed filter was designed by the Beijing Central Iron & Steel Research Institute of the Ministry of Metallurgy. This product has long been used in steel plants to purify turbid water from steel rolling and continuous casting (containing scale and oil), as well as for side-stream filtration in clean recirculating water systems. After years of operation, it has achieved highly satisfactory results and is widely welcomed by industrial users.

II. Specifications and Technical Performance
To ensure compact and rational layout, aesthetically pleasing piping, and convenient operation, the GSL series high-speed filter is available in two models (Type A and Type B) for the same specification, allowing users to choose according to their requirements.
III. Operational Requirements
(I) Filling the Filter Media:
Filter media are critical to ensuring water treatment effectiveness. Therefore, it is essential to strictly use the specified filter media and guarantee their technical performance and specifications. Do not arbitrarily lower the standards for filter media.
Before filling, the filter media must be thoroughly rinsed to remove any mud, debris, or impurities. They should then be layered according to the required grain size distribution.

(II) Filter Media Supplement and Replacement:
After continuous use, the filter media need periodic backwashing to remove retained impurities and restore their filtration efficiency. Long-term operation may cause media wear, and improper operation may lead to "media loss." Therefore, regularly inspect the condition of the filter media. If there is a shortage, replenish promptly. If the media have been in use for too long, resulting in persistently unclear effluent or disturbed media layers, replace or re-grade the filter media.
