QMg0.8 Magnesium Bronze/TMg0.8 Magnesium Copper

Magnesium bronze is a binary alloy in the Cu-Mg system. Trace amounts of magnesium have little effect on the electrical conductivity of copper, while also providing a certain deoxidizing effect, which benefits copper's high-temperature oxidation resistance.

Sn Tin: 0.002 Zn Zinc: 0.005 Fe Iron: 0.005

The addition of magnesium slightly reduces the electrical conductivity of copper, but its thermal conductivity and heat resistance are superior to cadmium bronze. It also offers certain torsional resistance and corrosion resistance. Magnesium bronze has good cold and hot working properties and is generally supplied in the form of wire. Magnesium bronze is the non-ferrous alloy with the smallest casting shrinkage rate, making it suitable for producing castings with complex shapes, clear contours, and low air-tightness requirements. It is highly corrosion-resistant in atmospheric, seawater, freshwater, and steam environments, and is widely used in steam boilers and marine parts. Phosphorus-containing magnesium bronze has excellent mechanical properties and can be used as wear-resistant and elastic components in high-precision machine tools. Lead-containing magnesium bronze is often used for wear-resistant parts and sliding bearings. Zinc-containing magnesium bronze can be used for high air-tightness castings.
